Okay, if any of you even know what that title means, I'll give you a dollar. It means that (and this post is way out of order) Drew and I finally got to get up into a little bit of the high country and climb! We've been waiting out winter and spring (and huge snowfields) for a chance to get up a little higher and see what the alpine is all about.
Lilly Mountain was our first excursion - and though it was only about a 4-miler, it took us through dense tree cover, snowfields where we post-holed just a little, open space where I most definitely turned a little pink, and a serious scramble at the top to "summit". It's hard to think of it as a mountain when it was only a 4-miler, but from the top you could see a beautiful view - the entire Continental Divide. I believe Drew took a video (it was Mother's Day - we should have made a summit sign!) but it was too windy up there to even hear it. Loui made this climb, too - he's 100% on summit-ing so far. ;) As long as we don't venture into Rocky Mountain National Park that is - not so dog friendly.
So, enjoy the pictures for this extremely out of order post! (Did you really think my brain worked in a logical, linear way?!)
